I had been working in the larest freemail provider here, the email domains include 163.com/126.com/yeah.net. We had more than 200 millions users at that time (now this number has increased much I believe). The webmail systems were run via FastCGI,the development language was C++. As we have noticed, FastCGI has great performance advance than CGI. So, is it possible to run SqWebmail via FastCGI? Thanks.

No.

sqwebmail already uses a prefork-based process model. It's already as fast as it could possibly be.
