-start jstatd on a remote machine -start visualvm -insert the remote machine as a remote host in vvm -start a java application on the remote host: it should appear in the vvm as a subnode of the remote host node -stop jstatd on the remote machine and start it again -the node of the running remote application should appear again in the vvm: try to open it An exception is thrown (more details in attached files) and no monitoring data is provided.
