Hi everyone,

been mostly reading stuff in this discussion forum till now. Great community!

One of my colleagues asked a question if it is to add a comment/reason to a
queue or queue instance when you disable it (like some other DRMs allow)? So
everyone can see why it has been disabled? qmod -d myqueue@myserver qmod --comment "hardware failure" -d \*@myserver Maybe that then also be applicable to qalter?

I searched the mailing list and found “Any way to add a comment about a node?”
(http://gridengine.sunsource.net/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=38&dsMessageId=12168).

That is done via a complex, though not very convenient for (manual) day-to-day
operations.
