Subject:[Translate-devel] Pattern matching and automated translations

Hi,

There are some common patterns in translations that could be automated. For example: original: "An mp3 file" translation: "Un fișier mp3"

original: "A jpeg file" translation: "Un fișier jpeg"

These kinds of translations can be automated by running a pattern matcher: input-pattern: "A[n] $x file" output-pattern: "Un fișier $x"

Is there support in any of the tools provided in the toolkit for something close to this? If not could you help me identify which program from the toolkit would be most suitable to hack on (or to base on) to implement such a matcher?
