I have already spent two days in attempts to compile Courier IMAP with authldap support. No results. It can not find OpenLDAP.

Can you provide the "configure" command that you issued to configure openldap?

Can you provide the "configure" command you're using to configure Courier?

By the way, your english is fine. Certainly much better than my russian

OpenLDAP have been installed in /usr/local/openldap Before running configure as normal user the environment was set: CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/openldap/include" CFLAGS="-I/usr/local/openldap/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/openldap/lib" After running configure, the same environment was set for root, but openldap support was not compiled. So, to be quite complete, i have this libraries in /usr/local/openldap/lib: liblber.a ; liblber.la; liblber.so.2; libldap.a; libldap.la; libldap.so.2; libldap_r.a; libldap_r.la; libldap_r.so.2 This seems to be complete but WHY does configure or what can not determine that I have OpenLDAP?

Best wishes from Russia
