Hi,

Im trying to use userdb as my only users database, i mean i dont want to use the system passwd file.

In this case i created the users like it says in the courier FAQ for virtual hosting. Now how do i make the maildirs??? with what ownership?? since the users in userdb don't exist in the passwd file i can't assign it the uid and gid. Im using root as owner, is this rigth?? if so why isn't working???? it complain sayin user unknown.

Im using Courier POP3d, can i use the Maildirs in another directory different from /home/user?? something like /var/vmail/domain.com/user.

Since i manage several domains, and the partition with more free space is /var i need this configuration.
