My major point is that we do not need to discuss how to use WS-Reliablity with individual other ws protocool specs, because we have designed it to be orthogonal.
AW: OK, so then we can skip the discussion
While I agree with Alan that an architecture on using ws specs together would a good thing to have, I do not agree it is required for our WS-Reliabiity specification to be progressed.
AW: I never suggested such an architectural spec is needed before we can progress WS Reliability to a standard.
Rather, I am suggesting a companion spec on How to Use WS Reliability with other WS standards/ specs

I think we should expand on "How WS-Reliability can be used with other web service protocols" by producing an architectural document within the WSRM TC (see my earlier mail). The document would include a platform neutral API and have specific examples, e.g. WS Security, WS-Distributed Management, WS Notification, etc.
Let's discuss this on today's telecon

This is a mistake it should read "How can ws-reliability be used with other web service protocols.? "
Answer : An important consideration in design of the WS-Reliability protocol was to have it be orthogonal to any other web services protocols which define the use of soap header elements.
WS-Reliability defines elements to be sent in Soap headers . Our header elements only contain parameters essential for the operation of the WS-reliability protocol. For example, WS-reliability defines &g t; > a reply to element for the sending Reliable Message Processor to convey a call back address for the Reliable messaging reply. This ; address is independent of any other reply mechanisms used for other protocols (e.g., WSDL response is not influenced by the WS-Reliability reply To parameter).
