I'm pleased to announce the release of the Third Edition of "DocBook XSL: The Complete Guide". It is currently available for purchase in PDF form directly from my website http://www.sagehill.net. The paperback version should be available from Amazon.com in about a week or two. As with the Second Edition, I've made available the HTML for browsing from my website.

The Third Edition brings the book up to date with version 1.68 of the DocBook XSL stylesheets, version 4.4 of the DocBook XML DTD, and recent changes to the processing tools. The book has grown by 36% from the second edition, now at 560 pages with several new chapters and many more customization examples. It now also provides complete coverage the HTML Help stylesheet. The book really should be titled "DocBook XSL: The Even More Complete Guide". I have summarized the major changes in the Preface to the Third Edition.

To all those who bought the PDF version of the Second Edition, I'll be sending out notices shortly on how to download your free Third Edition PDF file. To all those who bought the paperback Second Edition, I can offer a free PDF download of the Third Edition if you send me a copy of your printed receipt by surface mail. See the Colophon in the back of your book for instructions (and be sure to include your email address).

Enjoy!
