DON'T!!!
I'll do as I damn well please. Besides, that's the fun of FreeBSD - I
can make one little modification to a file and <KABOOM> there goes my
pooter. Now that's fun (as long as it doesn't happen too often). :)
Thankfully I had my important files backed up, but
boy-oh-boy what a weekend it's been.
Backups, schmackups, don'tcha just love re-installing everything and
starting from scratch. Go on, you know you like it.
I learned a few things though, so it wasn't a total loss.
(like don't unmount your /usr directory - I don't know
how I managed to do that, but I did.)
Now that sounds fun :)
2 installs later (don't ask) and I have my system almost
back to where it was.
Ready to do it all again! Wahey! :)
Ciao,
Stewart
