Often topics which are apparently empty (like some of the countries flagged for deletion) are actually linked to something, but the link isn't shown because the property isn't reciprocated (countries would get pretty cluttered if they had a list of every film produced there or every person born there). Even for typos like "Swedem" I'd just fix the name, if it's obvious what it should be and flag it for merger.
