Horde/Imp (www.horde.org) is another good combination to accomplish this. It's in PHP, and is updated fairly regularly. Also has the ability to house address books (LDAP/local), and other related things.

Some hacking may be necessary if you have an existing infrastructure, however everything is laid out nicely.

Hello,

we are building our company system and we want to use maildrop as a mail filtering agent and web interface, which we have written ourself, to access mail. Do you know some web interface which users can use to generate mailfilter files. We were testing SqWebMail, but it use CGI script, which we don't want to use. We prefer PHP solution.

A good PHP solution for webmail would be Squirrelmail.

I don't know of a web interface to write mailfilter files. I wish I did. :-)
