I feel your pain. I just upgraded to SU6-PRO and opened a SU file that
I had previously created in SU5-PRO and the base drawing which WAS 300
d.p.i. and very ledible in SU5, is now VERY blurry and unreadable. I
am on a PC though, and have all the graphic file formats that you are
wanting, however my OPTIONS box is grayed out, and I suspect THAT is
where I need to go to be able to import a higher res. .jpg, .tif
or .bmp.

Hi everybody!
I cant import any pictures (like JPG or TIFF) in SU-6. I use an IMac
(G5/2yars old, no Intel) with OS 10.3.9.. The import-menu allows me
just to import .skp or ACAD-files, the common picture-files stay grey.
I haven't had these problems with SU 5. Has anybody an Idea whats
wrong?
