thats not exactly what we want to do we want MySQL to be a part of a CDROM Catalogue. The data in the MySQL Database must not be read via a MySQL Client by simply exchanging the grant tables in the filesystem or by other means, and should be encrypted in the tables that are stored on the fs. (.frm's) What we are looking for are some pointers where to start with actually implementing this, and to implement it in a way that it can be merged with the main mysql source branch!

Kind regards
