You need to recompile, to see the debug output of authdaemond.ldap. There is a #define DEBUG_INFO that you set to 1 and rebuild.

If you get the log info about the successful bind in LDAP, then it seems like you should be okay. The log entry I saw looked okay, but it would be useful to see more of the log after that, I think.
