List:com.mysql.lists.win32

After due consideration, I am in the right list.

First, I am very very new to MySQL. I have the Win32 trial program installed, I bought Yarger's book, I have figured out how to create a database, I have installed the MS Access to SQL converter, and converted my Access database, and created one of the converted tables into MYSQL.

Now the question: I want to link MS Access to the new table, but I can not figure out how to make the connection, via an ODBC Database. I am sure that I haven't the right DSN, or ODBC drivers, but I'll be darned if I know what I should have. I keep getting thrown into MDIS, and that gives me an error, when I try to connect.

Is there an instruction page, somewhere, for this procedure?

Thanks, Doug

Doug the win32 list is a little slow. If you have a mysql specifc question that is not specific to the win32 versions or using Mysql on win32 then the list mysql main list (mys@lists.mysql.com) would be more appropriate.

what is your question?

Steve

Hi,

I have been subscribed to this list for most of the day, and have received no postings. I am anxious to ask for some help, but fear that I am not in the right place.
