Hi.

I have noticed that Courier (or something) has automatically archived off just under 1000 messages from my 'Sent' folder into 'Sent.2001.07-Jul', for which I am truly thankful.

My question is: How can I configure this threshhold, and furthermore, how can I have the same housekeeping performed on all my other maildir sub-folders? It's cool.

I can't find any reference to this functionality, and unfotunately, logrotate has since removed the maillogs which might have given me some clue as to how this happened.

sqwebmail does this automatically on the first login of the month, by renaming the Sent folder, and creating an empty folder in its place. That's pretty much all there is to it. There is no threshold, it'll do this forever :-).

Since I posted I saw the option in the webmail preferences. What I am asking is if webmail (better still Courier - I hardly use webmail) can do this for _all_ folders, not just the Sent folder. I suppose I could set up cron job to do it, but as you have already built in the feature....
