thanks for your suggestions. I have tried the zip-version with unchanged
configuration and the problem is still alive.
http://localhost:4848/ goes to loop after bypassing the login-screen. I have
attached the whole server-log.
Previously i have tried the glassfish-3.0.1-windows.exe and
glassfish-3.0.1-unix.sh. With both i kept the login-screen (because i entered a
passwd for admin) and after entering 'admin' and 'passwd' the loop arised.
The only workaround i have today is using glassfish-3.0.1-b20 which is the
latest update, where the problem does not arise.

Just a guess... Have you tried cleaning cookies and/or browser cache? I had issue with this when I was migrating from Glassfish v1 to Glassfish v2. Admin console of v2 was hanging on every browser which was visiting the admin console of v1 earlier.
