Err. It looks like this thread just crossed over the perl-advocacy list in one form. Hmm.

I suspect the poster mean that PHP can solve some problems more easily (in fewer lines of code, probably) than Perl.

I suspect that most people who have seriously used both Perl and PHP would agree that you can do just about anything in Perl that you can in PHP.

But much more on this topic is likely to be off-topic for this list. It should be taken elsewhere if it is not MySQL related.
