i just deploy this server, but, the current administrator has set-up a
thunderbird clients in his network in order to get mail, sqwebmail is not
in use anymore (just for reading mail outside the network), current
maildirs are bigger than 800MB, even 3.8 GB; since the thunderbird deploy
the imap clients get the error message "timeout...", if i install
courier-pop (to download the mails from the server and keep a copy of them
and keep maildir to sqwebmail), is useful but i need that the maildir as
in IMAP get downloaded in pop i mean if the user's maildir has
inbox/folder (any mails in there), the same structure will be download by
the pop client....is that possible? o i have to manually creatre the imap
structure in the pop client?
No, you don't, and you can't. You're trying to do the impossible. You cannot
"create the imap structure" in any POP3 client, not Thunderbird, not any
other mail client, for the very simple reason that the POP3 protocol has no
concept of mail folders, whatsoever. Therefore, the only thing that's
accessible via POP3 is the mailbox's INBOX.
