When in doubt, use Ms

Or don't use them at all (I mean, either Mr, Mrs, or Ms), just the name - your call.

Cheers, Simão

Would you like me to add that to each individual's title (Mr., Mrs., Ms.). I don't know how one goes about determining the marital status of professional women? Does anyone know the etiquette for such inquiries, short of going to each and asking? Thanks! Dee Schur Member Support www.oasis-open.org

Indeed, as a matter of protocol, the titles for ITU matters are Mr, Ms, Mrs. Titles as PhD, Dr etc are omitted.

Exceptions are for certain special titles: HRM (royalty), HE (minister/ambassador), Rev. (clergy), Lord and Sir.

Thanks Simão

Hi Dee,

I'd suggest removing "Dr." as an honorific for Renato; it's a safe guess that most of the speakers have doctorates.
