thanks for ur help mrsam.

i read the authldaprc & authlib readmes.

i set LDAP_AUXOPTIONS sharedgroup,disableimap in authldaprc.

first i tried for a single user. i set sharedgroup attribute and created corresponding index file and that is working fine.

i've a qmail group 'deve@test.int' whose members are a@test.int and b@test.int. now i want to set folder acls for qmail group 'deve@test.int' such that the acl is set for all members of the group i.e a@test.int and b@test.int.

what option do i set in LDAP_AUXOPTIONS do this ?

first of all : is the 'group' option of maildiracl command meant for

this ?

Yes.

it doesnt seem to work when i used a command as follows : maildiracl -set /mailstore/user1/Maildir INBOX.docs group=<URL:mailto:gro@test.com>gro@test.com lr

i've not defined LDAP_AUXOPTIONS. do i need any special options to do this.

Yes you do need to define LDAP_AUXOPTIONS. See the documentation in the authldaprc configuration file, and the READMEs in the courier-authlib package.
