Just trying...
However, mail to user@hosteddomain from outside is rejected with a
'Relaying denied' error.
As I understand, there can be several reasons for courier not to
accept mails fot relaying on hosted domains:
1. check /etc/courier/hosteddomains
2. Did you run makehosteddomains?
3. check /etc/courier/esmtpacceptmailfor
4. if you have /etc/courier/esmtpacceptmailfor.dir, did you run
makeacceptmailfor?
5. check /etc/courier/smtpaccess
6. did you run makesmtpaccess?
if you did all of this, are absolutely sure that there are no errors
in above mentioned config files and still get authentication errors,
you should check, if the authdaemon does it work.
7. is authdaemon running?
8. check authmodulelist in /etc/courier/authdaemonrc
9. if you are using mysql, check mysql-log for connection errors and
the sql statement, courier submits
well, if you checked this and it´s still not working, there could be
some sideeffects of a misconfiguration in some other file... maybe
someone could complete this list...
Have a nice thread,
Peter
