With the continued growing success of the flagship JavaOne conference comes new opportunities. This year, JavaOne is expanding to offer business leaders a chance to participate, as well. I'm very proud to announce the deployment of "Java Embedded @ JavaOne." With the explosion of new unconnected devices and data creation, a new IT revolution is taking place in the embedded space. This net-new conference will specifically contain business content addressing the growing embedded ecosystem.

In no way will this new event reduce the size and scope of the flagship JavaOne conference. At the flagship JavaOne conference, we still plan to deliver technical/developer-focused content representing ~500 combined sessions, birds-of-a-feather, hands-on labs and tutorials, up from ~400 last year. The new "Java Embedded @ JavaOne" event will be comprised of 24 purely focused business sessions from Oracle and non-Oracle presenters.
