Hello.

I would like to find out if maildrop, when configured in maildir format could perform server side filtering?

That's what it's supposed to do in the first place.

Ok.

Is Cyrus-IMAP compatible with such filtering?

No. Cyrus-IMAP uses a customized mail storage format that is not compatible with anything else.

I am sorry, I misspoke here. What I wanted to ask is if Courier IMAP was compatible with such filtering. I am just comparing a bunch of IMAP servers and Cyrus must've been on the toungue. That must've looked pretty weird :)

What I wanted to ask is if Courier-IMAP is compatible with the filtering of mail into subfolders and if Creating a subfolder in the IMAP client would create the folder on the server in the format maildrop(with maildir) requires.

Thanks for replying.
