Hi!

Recently I notified when an outside mail comes to a none existent local address the Courier server doesn't notify the sender (doesn't send mail back) about the failed delivery, explaining that the addresse was unknown. However the log records the event, but no trace of any other action:

courieresmtpd: error,relay=(IPaddr),from=<sender>,to=<rcpnt> :550 User unknown

The strange thing is that I use quota on the same server and it works fine, sends back the warning mail message with the reason of the failed delivery!?

I use courier 0.39.3.20020910 on SuSE 8.0 with MySQL auth, voluntary disk quota and perlfilter for virus checking. I modified the config files for my needings but I can't find any relations to the above trouble (could be a side effect?).

If you have any idea what to check, how to solve this malfunction please help me!
