Have you contacted the 3rd-party library vendor with your stack trace to see if they have any insight? At the very least, with the stack trace they should be able to determine why their code is crashing.

My understanding is that any support requires an expensive support contract, and that matches my experience in trying to ask them a general question a few months ago. However, I think we may have to get their input somehow, if their library really is doing something nonstandard in linux. It's just puzzling that it runs flawlessly in Windows.

Oops, I've just been informed that we did actually buy a support contract and we're working on getting some right now. *chuckle*
