Hello List,

I installed courier-imap 1.4.3 with ldap authentication.

./configure --with-authldap --without-authmysql --without-authvchkpw --without-authcram --enable-workaround-for-imap-client-bugs --with-db=gdbm --without-authpgsql

No errors appear. Everything seems to be fine. I do

/usr/lib/courier-imap/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start /usr/lib/courier-imap/libexec/imapd.rc start

Next i do a telnet localhost 143

"Trying ::1.. Connected to localhost Escape character is ']'. Connection closed by foreign host."

is the result.

nmap localhost

"... 143/tcp open imap2 ..."

A pstree -p shows that

authdaemond.ldap and couriertcpd are running

What should I do now???????? Please help me!

courier imap 1.4.3 with ldapauth on SuSE 7.1
