Ok ... gave that a go ... and thought I would do the chmod 777 thing just to make sure. : the permissions on sqwebmail are as follows: -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1474443 May 8 15:54 webmail

Bad idea: anyone with access to your filesystem is able to modify the binary.
