Using blackhole (a mutation of like spam assasin and implementation of your virus scanner) uses .blackhole files that can either reside globaly or in the users home directory. This allows for per-user rulesets, etc. Anomy can function also liek this by placing a sanitizer.conf file in the users $HOME

I know blackhole can already interact with clam av, sophos, trend, uvscan. Adding other AV engines is fairly easy.
