I have a question regarding mailQuotas. I'm currently using Courier IMAP in conjunction with LDAP and virtual domains/users. My question is this: If I update the virtual users quota information on the LDAP server, how long does it actually take for Courier IMAP to pickup and apply those changes ? I've read the maildir and maildrop man pages and they say that "eventually" the maildirsize file will reflect what is in LDAP. This, however, is unacceptable for our purposes.

The subsequent mail delivery to your having changed the LDAP detail (whatever it was). And it isn't Courier IMAP that triggers it, it's the MTA - f.ex. Postfix carries out its "mailbox_command", and at that moment any maildrop LDAP attribute changes for the user in question get updated.
