This is a little opaque. What is "preline"? It does not appear in in the maildropfilter(5) nor maildrop(1) man pages.

It's a wrapper with its own man page.

It's not part of the maildrop package, apparently. It seems it would be easier to use [re]formail than to build the entire Courier suite just to get this little program.
