look at pack/unpack objects. they put things into and take things out of lists. i think this is what you might be looking for. i'm not too sure, but look at the help files for those objects. There is also the latest beta expr object that will output specific values from an array like the way C programming arrays work (i.e. a[2]) HTH -mark .k
