I'm not at ELF (or this weeks -CURRENT yet), so I'm not quite up on this; and thus might be way off...

But could we PLEASE have a "-R" for ELF that works the same as -STABLE?

The other poster was wrong. "ld -R" works as expected for ELF. See the output of "ld --help" for details.
