Hi.

On our system, we use 'aliases' for virtual domain mapping. Every domain is mapped to a system-useraccount with a specific expansion address.

Now we have had the problem, that our user database (nss-mysql) has gone away due to a crash of the database daemon. As a result, courier does not know anything about any local system user and rejects messages to all email accounts. I wonder if someone has a clue how I could set up the system so that courier would call the loss of the user database a temporary failure.

Use Courier's native authmysql module, instead of nss-mysql.
