There's no problem with moving an invariant outside the loop. However this isn't an invariant. another thread can change the behaviour of Integer sop the behaviour of Integer is not guaranteed to be unchanged in the loop body.
this is true... but how soon should such a change take effect? Does it need to be right this moment? Or maybe it is well enough to do this a it later. The basic question here is in my eyes an question which is not answered yet: If a MetaClass is changed in another thread, when exactly needs the current thread respect this?
For example let us say thread T1 is executing a MetaClass change and thread T2 is doing this
a.plus(b)
And let us also assume that the MetaClass change would affect this method call. Bu there is no synchronization here. It could be that the MetaClass change happens after plus has been called. In that case there would be no semantic change to the language, but the method change did not affect the plus call. Even writing a program that will ensure that nothing wrong happens is not so easy.
