Hi,

I just learned, that ARCHIVEDIR just moves the mail files _after_ delivering, not making any copies. Thus it is not resource exhausting at all.

It just delays the deletition of the files for some seconds or minutes.

Great!

Roger.

Hi,

I _do_ know, that we have currently at least one spammer on our system, thus in one or two days, our smtp-server will be listed on some blacklists, interfering the email traffic of some hundred "clean" email users.

Do you really think it's paranoid to investigate the source of the spam? I assume, it is an email user, who does not know, that his email account is abused by a probably commercial (criminal) spam sender.

...

set ARCHIVEDIR in courierd, and get an archived copy of every message that passes through the system.

Thanks for that hint! This will at least help me solve my recent problem.

Anyway, this way is very resource exhausting. Maybe I should have a look into the source codes in order to find a less resource exhausting way.
