I know there are people out there that know how to fix it...I've tried all the fixes I've seen on the net...can someone, anyone help me?

Squirrelmail users cannot login, but I can pop the mail JUST fine through thunderbird. Vpopmail is working with mysql just fine, but this other thing...just doesn't want to work...no matter what I do or what I've tried. I've followed the guide at http://www.pipeline.com.au/staff/mbowe/isp/webmail-server.htm

as closely as possible, and have gone over a few steps multiple times. As he is tailoring it to Redhat I'm using Slackware 10.1, I can see there might be some issues...But...authdaemon is running and so is courier-imap...although courier-imap doesn't show the same thing that he does. It only has this when I ps axf it:
