I'm assuming you checked the ownership/permissions on the users' Maildir and on the maildirsize file.

BINGO!!!

The maildirsize was owned by root. Will not work that way. You may slap me in the head at anytime.

And now for one more question: If the user is over quota, will there be a bounce message?

And did you see earlier about the warning message? do I need the -w 90 for a warning at 90%?
