Hello everyone,
First, I would like to say thanks for the advice on setting up the
mailboxes. After going through the steps again I realized that it wasn't
working because I created ./mailbox instead of ./Mailbox. <rolls eyes>.
Anyway, my Windows Server machine hard drive melted and of course I had no
backup. So, I put the Courier system online a little earlier than expected.
It's sending e-mails just fine to external recipients and I can send/receive
to accounts inside the server but external e-mails are unable to get in. I
get undeliverable message errors when I try to e-mail my address or when
replying to e-mails sent from the server. I have IMAP, SMTP, and POP ports
forwarded properly (I think) so I'm guessing there is a deamon or setting I
haven't set properly to allow incoming e-mails from the outside world. Any
idea? Remember, super nooby here so likely it's something really silly (like
little case m instead of big case M). Thanks again for all of the help
everyone.
BTW, I've decided to stay with the stable Debian for now until I get things
up and running again and then I'll consider FC 5 since folks seemed pretty
happy with that as a versatile solution.
