Ashok,

I did change POL80001 & POL80002. I think the change marking failed in the PDF version, but it looks correct in the DOC version.

The PDF pointers don't work - don't worry about that for now since that is something TC Admin can sort out when they create a new CSD - my PDF creation process is pretty crude, but the DOC version has all the links & references.

Hi Mike: Thanks for doing this. You changed the statements POL40029-33 but you did not change POL80001 and POL80002. I'm wondering why.

Also, pointers to other parts of the spec and to references don't seem to work. I can work on this if you wish.

All the best, Ashok

Target: sca-policy-1.1-spec-cd04.doc

Description:

The SCA Policy specification contains a small number of normative statements that are either themselves optional, or which relate to optional functionality.

These statements give a problem both with regard to testing and to the exit criteria for the specification.

The statements involved are as follows:

Optional statements:

POL40031 POL40033

POL80001 POL80002

Statements relating to optional function (in all cases, the function is redeployment, which is not a required capability for an SCA runtime)

POL40029 POL40030 POL40032

Proposal:

Remove the optional parts of POL80001 & POL80003

Downgrade all of the remaining listed statements to non-normative advisory text.

The implementation of these proposals is shown in wd041 of the Policy spec here:
