Subject:Re: [wsrp-wsia] [change request #157] Add pushesPersistentState?

I thought managing persistent state [by the consumer] was required. The explanation for the state field in PortletContext seems to back this up. Where in the specification does it indicate its optional? -Mike-

Document: Spec Section: 5.1.18 Page/Line: 23 / 6 Requested by: Richard Jacob Old text: [insert] Proposed text: [R] boolean pushesPersistentState Description: pushesPersistentState: This flag indicates whether the Producer will push persistent state (e.g. portletState) to the Consumer. Consumers who are not willing to persist such state for the Producer SHOULD NOT utilize Producers who set this value to "true".

Reasoning: Earlier discovery for those Consumers who care.
