It can delete, copy, move, expunge messages with UW IMAP. However, it doesn't like Cyrus. I haven't tried it with Courier.

With Cyrus, it stumbles on the "." which is used instead of a "/" like UW uses. There is a patch for Cyrus that allows the use of a "." and that evidently fixes things.

It seems like the best IMAP client for OS X is Mulberry. I bet mutt would work too, but it's not GUI.
