So I think all works.

But when I now try to connect to Imap via: telnet localhost imap i got the following output: Trying ... Connected to ..... Escape character is '^]'. Connection closedby foreign host.

Check if imap is listening on localhost (netstat, sockstat, lsof), if the imap-entry in /etc/services points to tcp/143. Maybe your firewall blocks the connection (check /var/log/???)
