Hi,

Well if all you want to do is clear out the ENTIRE queue then shut down courier and clean out the /var/spool/courier/msgs and /var/spool/courier/msgq directories and then restart courier. Now all the messages in the queue should be gone.

That is not what I'm trying to do. I don't want to cosmetically fix this problem. There is definitely some inconsistency/discrepancy problem between mailq and what cancelmsg sees in the queue. There are about 10,000 messages that mailq believes still exist, while cancelmsg does not.

However, I don't want to simply clear everything out, because mailq still lists over 21,000 messages in my queue, so definitely there are still many in there.

It would be nice if whatever was canceled by cancelmsg actually got reflected in mailq!!
