Hi again,
I wanted to send out an update as the event is drawing near. We've set
up a discussion group for the "Ideathon" so check it out if you are
interested:

Thank you,

Hi everyone,
The Google Data APIs team is holding a local developer event at the
'plex in Mountain View, CA in a few weeks. We're calling it an
"Ideathon" -- part hackathon, unconference, user group with food and
fabulous prizes. Spend a Thursday evening hanging out with some of the
people supporting and implementing the various Google Data APIs.
Thursday, December 13th
5:00pm-10:30pm
There will be a short kick off session, dinner, wi-fi, and power. You
can do anything you want with the time-- whether it be meeting other
local developers, chatting with members of the Google Data APIs team,
hacking at your own project, or sitting in on impromptu sessions about
things like GData + Gears or GME.
I know many of you aren't in the area, but we'll try to hold these
types of events in other areas in the future. Let us know which area
you're in if you're not around these parts, or even if you're
interested in hosting one yourself, by emailing gdata-events at
google.com.
Check out the event page for more detailed
info:http://code.google.com/events/ideathon/
It will be great to meet some of you!
Happy coding,
