In /usr/lib/courier/etc/aliases/lists:

all_@domain.tld: |/usr/local/mailman/mail/mailman post all_employees

The strange thing is not so much that it doesn't work as it sends me back:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'all_@domain.tld' on 12/9/2003 2:32 PM 550 User unknown.

For this to work, domain.tld must be listed in the hosteddomains file, and not locals.

If you have not already done so, you need to read the courier(8) man page until you understand the difference between locals and hosteddomains. Do not proceed any further until you understand that fully.

I already thought of that, and it is in the hosteddomains. Actually, it is in the webadmin file in the hosteddomains subdirectory, but it's the same, right? I have other aliases already working for that particular domain in a like manner.

I saw nothing enlightening in the /var/log/maillog, just a copy of the same error message. Are there any other logs that may give me a better understanding of what's going wrong?

No. Everything gets logged to syslog.

I'd say that the key to the puzzle lies in the data that you “paraphrased”, instead of reproducing it verbatim; such as the actual contents of the relevant configuration files.
