Note my problem here... "from=<>".

And what exactly is the problem with that?

Well, the problem is... when that message tries to be delivered anywhere, it fails and is deferred, and attemtps to send for days on end, then ends up giving up and trying to send a gave up message back to nothing, and errors further on that.

Sort of baffled where to even begin looking for this, because its actually courier who is making and sending that failure email, and thus courier is failing to put anything in its own "from="... hmm?

That's because delivery status notifications do not have a return address.

Then why on the other courier install of mine, does it actually put something in there?

How could two courier email servers, setup basically the same, behave differently when its not supposed to set a return address? This is why I am confused... one works, no deferrals, the other doesnt, tons of deferrals.

btw, the tests to get the failure notices, are both from the same email box, so I had a common factor in the return-path for the sender.

Confooozled.
