One reply seems to suggest that a simple solution is to set up a cron
job to move any mail in ~user/Maildir/cur to ~user/Maildir/new.
Is there a better (or updated) solution to this problem? I'm using the
most recent stable release of courier-imap.
You don't say which M$ OS, only OE6. I've seen problems with OE6 on XP -
for that matter quite some other OE version on various M$ OS's.
Sam put it quite qight a short while ago:
"Only some versions of OE are crippled. OE's really not OE. Lots of
stuff
OE does is actually part of MSIE; installing MS Office also installs
some
libraries that are shared with OE. Depending on the particular
combination
of the official OE version, MSIE version, Windows version,
current+previous
service packs, Office version, and gawd knows what else, you'll see
widely
different behavior from the OE client.
Try to find the guy who wrote MSOE, and ask him to fix it. Or, install
a
random service pack, or a hot fix. Sometimes they end up fixing these
kinds of things."
First verify it's the right OE version for that OS, verify all nessesary
updates/hotfixes are in place... Then try the full pay-version of
Outlook or try downloading Mozilla onto the pc in question to verify
mail can be read correctly. Then dump OE. Mind you, OE is a freem
scaled-down version of Outlook.
