Qmail is the most secure mailer as you know.
Since you like secure mailers, you might want to move to Postfix.
No slight against Sam, but personally I think that Postfix is probably one
the next most secure mailers after Qmail.
Wieste the developer of it has written a number of Unix security related
applications, Postfix
is one of the many he wrote. Postfix like Exim, the Courier MTA, and Qmail
supports the Maildir.
Postfix works with Maildrop, and various filtering programs.
Postfix also prides itself on never loosing mail.
I am using Postfix with Courier and we have 2020 users on our mailserver.
I am also using Postfix as our mailhub.

I'm considering using Courier's blocking abilities, delivery features,
etc. to do something like this instead:
Internet <-outside-> Firewall <-inside-> Courier
