The Perforce Web page does not indicate any support for the IBM mainframe environment. Our mixture of platforms includes NT, VAX/VMS, DEC UNIX/ALPHA, SOLARIS, HP/UX, Win 95 and OS/390 (MVS 5.0). The Endeavor product is used on our mainframe to perform source code control. It is our intent to try and use a product for SCM that supports all platforms, a grand idea that may not be possible. Towards this end, any information you can provide as a user of Perforce would be greatly appreciated. We are also considering PVCS for use in this environment so any comparisons or experience you have with that product would be greatly appreciated as well.
